Biden passed a law that says the US can't drill in the gulf of Mexico. We're not going to drill in the gulf of Mexico. We're going to drill in the Gulf of America.
I wondered why Trump was doing that, it will always be the gulf of mexico to me but if changing it's name means he can get our offshore rigs back drilling then that's great, makes sense now.

Glad to see there was some point to it. Now let's go drillin'!

They will say drill baby drill not understanding what they drill won’t make the cut. I’m sure all of the potash their farmers get from us too will be miraculously replaced by what they don’t have. Or maybe the trade war will just result in massive subsidies to farmers like it did last time. I’m sure they’ll love that over just selling their commodity at better prices.

Next up, changing the name of French fries to something more American. That or turning on the mysterious water valve.
"Trump Fries" kinda has a ring to it.

Forgotten in all the hub-bub over the Gulf name change is the fact that Denali was again named Mt. McKinley.
Alaska's two senators are in opposition to the change.
Alaskan senator Lisa Murkowski was also one of only three turncoat republican senators to vote against Hegseth's Sec. of defense nomination.
Eh...wot?

SE NM has about a jillion tons of potash. I have hauled a lot of it. A lot. Never brought any down from Canada though. KS oil is being refined right now in El Dorado, Coffeeville and McPherson. We can easy set aside the regs that wont allow us to modify or build more.
The stuff everyone is whining about worked pretty good 8 years ago. Obama had tanked the economy and trump revived it. I see no reason why it wont happen again.

Polls consistently show Canada would vote Democrat, and they have a higher population than California, so they'd have a lot of electoral votes. Seems like a good way for a republican to ensure republicans can't become president.

Danny, NM produces half a million tons per year. You import nearly 12 million tons to fill the need. Being able to supply about 5% of the need won’t cut it. Someone from Kansas should know how badly guys growing corn in Kansas would suffer from a 25% tariff on potash. You can even read about it in current articles from Kansas. Just because you support a team doesn’t automatically make everything the team does the right move.

Art of the deal
Seems to me, trumpster is trying too get Canada to clean up its act,,,,stop freeloading, do something about the drug/ immigration issues,,,,
If Canada would address the issues he’s pointed out??
It would be good for Canada and the states
Unfortunately Canadian politicians are using the chaos of the crisis for their own gain

In Indiana and KY they truck pot ash out back to the mines and we have stair stepped mountains of it they cover with a layer of dirt. We can produce everything we need. Often it's government regs stoping the free market. If the need hits we can move back the the manufacturer machine we were in ww2. Just need government to get out of the way. Exactly what Trump is doing.

PF, it is actually funny that you think this way. Don’t let facts get in the way , just assume you have enough potash instead of actually looking into how desperate you are for it.
I’m sure in four years you’ll be a net exporter instead of importing about 90%. Lol We import about 80% of the Potash that we use. Most of that comes from you.I think Saskatchewan has one of the largest Potash deposits in the world. That being said,,,we could just send a Girl Scout Troop up to slap yous around and take it from ya.

Upstate. I appreciate the humour and find it in good fun. But seriously, at least the Girl Scout thing is actually acknowledging that you do indeed not have everything you need. Some statements are actually myths, that is one of them. There are many things that every country cannot produce enough of on their own no matter how badly they desire.
