How's everyone got about it ? Made some of the stuff I cook on the boat for the wife and some friends tonight and she really wants me to try and make some and freeze it so she can have some while I'm gone laugh is it better to do it for the oven or microwave ? Any special containers that help or ?

Pasta-type dishes never freeze well! They get mucky when thawed & reheated but if texture isn’t an issue, go for it.

The best luck I have with freezing and reheating is to vac seal it. Then to reheat from frozen just drop the bag into boiling water until it reaches the temp you want. I have not tried pasta.

Tupperware and a microwave (let it thaw first).

Some things freeze well and some not. It won't be anything your wife wants but if I am going to be out and about without refrigeration or a microwave I make a cheese1¹ omelet with bacon, sausage, or ham beside it. Set it in the sun around 10 and at by noon it heats up enough to melt the cheese.

I've tried this with other meals- hit and miss.

Sous vide cooker is the best way to go for reheating leftovers. Set it at the temperature you want and you can keep it there days dependign on how high your set the cooker and how big the containter is. Eventually you will lose enough water that it shuts off to keep the element from burning out.
