If all the closet queers like 160 loser,Savell and Upchuck NY came out there would be 3 times as many queers in the states as Canada instead of only double,LOL When are you planning to move to be with your "kind"? He dont have to move. He already shares makeup and wardrobe secrets with his Man Queen Trudope.AND,,has been appointed honorary Medicine Woman to some LGBTQ Tribe up there.Besides,,,if he wanted to move,,he would to have to put air in the tires on his house.

Canada heavily subsidizes it's lumber industry as well. They government pays private companies to harvest and process softwood lumber. That is how they are able to unfairly undercut the American lumber industry. Trump is simply leveling the playing field with Canada and, as you stated, many other countries that have been charging tariffs on imported American goods.
Lug, this is false. The government owns the forest, private companies are given allocations, not paid to harvest it. That’s not the same as what you are stating. Is it advantageous that they are able to acquire wood cheaper than in the us market? Yes, it is, but that’s a benefit of not privatizing everything. It is also done to spur economic activity in remote regions. Not trying to be antagonistic but being from PA you likely cannot picture what many people in the northern regions would do if not for the government spurring economic activity. There’s not much else in many of these places to create employment. In the area I live I wouldn’t even want guess how many people work in forestry but what I do know is that there would be much less good employment if not for forestry. It’s okay to hate it, I don’t take that personally. I just think the at the end of the day some of our timber is actually required, much like we require your vegetables from California in the winter. Savell, I laughed out loud, good sense of humour. You are correct that your government does not pay folks to harvest the lumber. The lumbermen pay your federal and provincial governments. I misunderstood that. However, the stumpage fees they pay are considerably lower than what American companies have to pay as they are set by your governments and not through competitive marketplace pricing as they are in America. That has probably been the biggest bone of contention between American and Canadian timber industries. Those low stumpage fees allows Canada to dump softwood products on the American market at prices far below what it costs American companies to produce those same products. And low stumpage fees can be considered a form of subsidy even though your government denies that. There are also quite a few Canadian subsidy and incentive programs that have been identified by the U.S. Department of Commerce in a report that came out just last month. Here is a link to that report if you care to read it: Softwood Lumber Subsudies Report to the Congress

Here in PA, especially north central PA, timber companies own large tracts of forests. They usually put the harvesting of that timber up for bids. Smaller landowners do the same thing.

If 4% of your population is gay and you increase it 8 fold you have a 32% gay population See how that works Ok, one last time. This should make it easy. If you take 100 Americans, about 8 will be gay. If you take 100 Canadians, about 4 will be gay. What you do to one side you have to do to the other. So, let’s say we take 1 billion Canadians, only 4% will be gay. It doesn’t matter how big the numbers are I friggin hate math and think fractions are gay………not that there’s anything wrong with that.

What would be wrong with fractions? That’s why I had to add that there’s nothing wrong with fractions and gayness, to appease the 7.6% of the members…..or 7.6/100…lol. I put a decimal in a fraction which isn’t cool either!

I dont care where its being sourced from. Quality framing lumber is non existent here. Price goes up and quality goes down. Knots, grain widely spaced, warped, half green, lots of bark are all you see now. I would be scared to build a new house with the stuff lumberyards around here are selling. to top it off drive by any new housing project. the waste is nothing short of amazing. Probably cut the cost of new home construction several percentage points if care was taken to manage the amount of waste.

I actually framed my entire trapping shed with discarded perfect 2x4 lumber at the local landfill.

The quality of lumber is garbage everywhere and it ain’t cheap! Half a lift is suitable for forms and nothing else. I gotta start taking our heavy duty pallets home instead of cutting them up for fire wood.
