Stopped in to get an extra large coffee this morning. Went to pay guess what price went up. From $1.99 to $2.12 she said didn't know for sure but taxing coffee now.

I still can’t believe people pay money for the stuff.
sick

In all seriousness, some of the girls I work with get Starbucks daily and some of those drinks are nearly 7 dollars.

I hope your XL coffee keeps you going all day long!

Everything's expensive. Even more so at convivence stores.

Heck, I paid $5.99 for a bottle of water at a Red Wings game last Saturday.

Bottle of pop is creeping up on $3 at a gas station

I remember when I used to work at gas stations, many years ago. You could give ma a dollar, I would give you a pack of cigarettes and a dime change.

ergo, bibamus.

Well some body can afford the fancy coffee. I have said here before that Star Bucks is literally across the street from my house. Looking out my front window right at their drive up window. The line of cars and big pickups often starts at 5:30. I have never been in the place don't pay to much attention to it. There is however very few time I glance at the place there is not cars in the drive up.
What is interesting is that just 3 businesses to the South of Starbucks is Caribou Coffee. I can't see the place from my house so no idea of the business they do. Been there though for a few months less than Starbucks. So they must be doing enough sales to stay in business.. Don't know never been there either.
Last fall they started building something across the street from Starbucks. Wonder what that's going to be??? Turns out it's a 7 Beans coffee shop. Who knew. I actually had to call in a noise complaint against them the first week they opened. Not sure what kinda of funky music they were playing. I didn't need to hear it starting at 5 am until 11:30 pm. First couple days I thought ok grand open. 3rd day I was ok 5 am not going to listen to this crap no more.
Anyways is now 3 coffee shops all sell the high dollar coffee and can all see each other.
Add to that that you can go less that a mile in any direction from them. You have a Kwik Trip famous for their coffee.

Mac

I've never had such horrible coffee as Starbucks, I literally can't finish it, and I've had some bad coffee..
If it wasn't for all the syrup and crap they put into it it's seriously undrinkable... and the cost is ridiculous... I don't understand it....

yup but you could buy a Winchester M70 for 175.00 as well and of course it was a Pre-64 because it was pre 64

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Kwik Trip is much better than any coffee shop I've been to. Wish we had them here. Mike
