Thanks for the many kind comments from you guys. Most of you are probably way better land trappers than I, but I have figured out how to make a few bucks extra from my carcasses. Beaver will always be my main gig and having access to lots of carcasses means I can make mistakes placing them and lose carcasses to my folly, but oh well, no biggie, plenty more available.

Mnjag, you made a good purchase. Covers your part of the world too and has lots of good info about cat habits.

There aren't many carnivores that will pass up a fresh beaver carcass. A friend of mine who ran coyotes wanted all the beaver carcasses I could get him for his Walkers. He claimed it gave the dogs more stamina than any dog food he gave them.
If removing guns saves just one life it's worth it. Then if deporting illegals saves one life is that worth it?

Also picked up two more civets which makes me happy! ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/01/full-698-245904-f66e56a6_21b9_4354_bf4c_e158c0801b6e.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/01/full-698-245906-77323218_a93c_48a4_8e62_1b0f388c9aae.jpeg) Makes 4 civets for this carcass run, and 5 cats. But wait..... ....it never fails. Just when I'm picking up all my traps and ready to move on with life and get back to a water line. One more carcass gets covered tempting me to set it up. What do you think I did?

Well, today was pick up the line day. As I mentioned earlier I had another bobcat hit on my first bobcat carcass so I set it up again. Today it had a nice little female. Haven't weighed her yet but probably 15-16 lbs. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/01/full-698-245901-4009fc2f_a31a_4619_b14b_48fe8a8fe1ca.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/01/full-698-245902-1ccbb907_5b84_4eed_a2aa_a23a78b6d29c.jpeg) Decent belly on her. Thats a beauty.
