I was cold-calling ponds last summer and caught a couple bucket-mouths like that. Then one broke my line.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Any animal which can eat a snapping turtle twice as big as they are can eat whatever they want.

I knew a guy who had a well stocked pond in South East, Ohio, who had his pond cleared out of larger fish by a family of otter.

Save the otter...they're so lovely to watch... as they annihilate everything in the waterway.

Had a half-eaten muskrat in a 110 last year in mid November. It was dragged up under the bank into a rat bank den, so it wasn’t raccoon, opossum, or raptor. I always assumed otter or the biggest mink ever

Was likely a mink as it was only partly eaten.

I ran into a fellow trapper a couple years ago at Moraine State Park near Butler, Pa. He pulls out his phone and shows me a picture of a 40” musky, laying on the bank, that was eaten by an otter. The pic was took right where we were standing. I’d have paid good money to see that battle.

Had about a 12 pound flathead on a jig pole destroyed by otters summer before last. They went around it in a corkscrew fashion from tail to head and ate the cheeks out of it as well

Keith

I got a call a week ago from a guy who has a pond on his property with crappies and sunfish. He said otters have nearly wiped the fish out. Asked me to come and trap them. Pond is completely frozen over now. Told him he will have to wait until next fall when season opens.

It's been months since I bought the book, "How To Scam People On Line". It still hasn't arrived yet.
