Just thought I'd share a couple of things that have made my cat trapping more efficient.
I'll start with a couple of photos of a walk through, then explain.

The old fence post that is holding the flagging also doubles as a drag. It gives me the ability to check from my truck without leaving tracks to my set . I can see the post from a few hundred yards with binoculars. When I make a catch the post I's pulled down. The trapps are cabled to the drag. The fastening end is a cam lock. Making it easy to fasten to most any drag. My traps are actually beded on two pieces of 1×2 with a slot cut out so they are setting out of the frost zone. It's seldom that a cat walks through the set with the shingle pans and doesn't step on the mark. These traps seldom freeze down and I don't carry any dry dirt. Just don't give the cat anywhere to step but the pan.

Looks great! Your checking from a distance is a big deal. I do things like that also what you do with the post for flagging. Never have to go up to set check from afar.

Snowy it saves on time and alot of walking. I do freshen up lure about one's a week and make sure nothing has blown over sets or nothing snapped.
