AK, I can't get away with that. We speak Spanish in my household and I unfortunately understand all of it! LOL

I'm working on my Spanish, but I'm betting when the day comes that I understand everything she says in Spanish, I'm gonna wish I didn't lol

My wife and kids are working on Spanish. I will be the only one in the house with no clue.

My wife and her whole family speak English just fine and in my presence they do just so I'm not excluded, but Spanish is her first language (same for my mother in law) and when she gets upset or excited she drifts back into speaking Spanish lol

You're very fortunate. I'm sure being around it so much you have picked up on a lot. I would love to speak Spanish and see the benefit. But I'm not motivated to put in the work involved to do so. Wife and kids are using an app. I sure hope it works for them.

It is amazing how much you can learn just from observation and repetition. My wife's perspective is that we're in America so it's her responsibility to speak English well enough to communicate in her day to day life, not anyone else's responsibility to speak Spanish to understand her, so she never asked me to learn. But I have learned a lot just from being in the background while she and her family talk and interact (at their gatherings the main conversation is always in English, side conversations happen in Spanish whispering lol). By talking to my wife you wouldn't know English is her second language, she doesn't have an accent when speaking English, she's been in Alaska since she was 5 years old. Her mom has a noticeable accent but speaks English very well, her grandmother speaks the sort of English where she stops and asks someone the word she's looking for 2x per sentence lol

Mountain Dew tastes like medicine and no to energy drinks either. I like juice in the morning. Particularly cranberry watered down a bit

That's good - cranberry juice is good and it helps cut down "stones" and UTI's!

nothing wrong with that. Good reasons are it's more hazardous easier to trip and get a stick in your eye. Makes perfect since to me. It's not like your scared of the dark or anything.
