foxhunter52 trapper Joined: Nov 2014 Utah	So, everybodys got it, including me. Is there anything to fix it? I've seen advertisements claiming to be able to cure it. Just never tried.

Bigbrownie trapper B Joined: Mar 2018 Pa.	Started working underground at 18. Everything in the mine is loud. We didn’t know anything about hearing protection. By 21, my ears were ringing. Spent 37 years at it, did wear earplugs the last 20 years. I’m very careful around noise now, but the damage has already been done.

Sarge I have hearing loss too, but I don't feel I got it while in the army like I know I did the tinnitus. But, hearing aids are poorly covered by Medicare. Found out I can get them through the VA, though. It's not always about catching fish. That's what people who don't catch fish usually say.

Don't rely on ear plugs. Wear the same ear muffs you would use while target shooting. I wear ear muffs when I'm cutting grass on my riding lawn mower or while I'm running a chain saw. It's not always about catching fish. That's what people who don't catch fish usually say.
