Mine have been life changing.

I hated mine. They were uncomfortable. I didn’t think they helped. After my last trip to the range, everything changed. Now I am nearly deaf. Aids are a blessing. Can’t live without them.

I knew if I waited long enough on here I would get advice on a good less expensive hearing aids. Thank you Willy. Mine are on their way. The sale you mentioned goes off tomorrow so if anyone is interested now is the time. Save $100.00

I have spent almost $10K on aids that do not work. Last summer we did a project for the local Miracle Ear rep and they are around $10K. I was considering them but glad I didn't.

Snap - it is great that my experience can be helpful to you. Glad you got in on the sale too. The model you are getting should be great. I may buy a charging case for mine because i like that feature on my high end Bose earbuds for music.

Spend some time trying the different styles and sizes of tips. Make sure to measure for wire length for comfort. I leave mine set to pick up forward sounds for conversation. Then play with the other settings. You can use them linked with phone or not. When linked to phone and a text arrives or the phone rings it is internal and if i have the volume high it can be startlingly loud. So i usually have bluetooth turned off when using them. Because of the amplification i can hear on the phone fine.

I’m glad you are still kicking around. We are doing ok, just this aging is sometimes wicked. I work about 10 hours a week studying oil and gas production reports and doing relative paperwork. When the reports come in the anticipation is sort of like checking traps - seeing what each well produced. Then most of my time is caring for my wife. Occasionally i get to be unreliable and irresponsible.

I went with hear.com They send you a package with a tablet and other stuff in it. You set up an appointment time convenient for you and its like a zoom call. Follow up appointments work the same way.
The audiologist can remotely adjust the hearing aids and teach you how to use the settings. There is and app for your phone and it bluetooths to the hearing aids. They were well rated online so that's why I chose them. Cost was $2975.00 and 3 year warranty against loss and damage plus free support as needed. I am happy with them so far but need to learn how to adjust the base and treble.

I’ve been wearing hearing aids for 17 years now, my wife got tired of me saying huh? I’m glad I got them, like someone else said I can hear those gobblers now. I have 4 settings in mine, #1 is regular hearing. That’s the one I use the most. #2 takes the background noise out of. If I’m in a restaurant and there’s a lot of talking that is loud I put it on that. #3 is my “hunting ears” those let me hear all around me. I use them mostly when I’m hunting. #4 is for watching TV but I seldom use that one at all. They cost me around $3500 for the pair, I’ve had those 10 years now so far! I also have an app on my phone to adjust all settings whenever I want.
