I'm sure there will be some lure/bait answers, but what is the smell that hits you deep? If you were a wooman (spelling intentional) trying to court me, bathe yourself in Hoppes #9, or (a close 2nd) boiled linseed oil.
Act like a blank, get treated like a blank. Insert your own blank!

Rain, puppy breath, shotgun that has just been fired, campfire, my dog's head, waxing traps, freshly brewed coffee, back straps on the grill, the prairie on a crisp morning.
Real name Eric The sharpest hammer in the box of crayons.

I'll second or third the smell of just-fired shotgun shells.
Baking bread.
Freshly cut grass.
Line-dried clothes.
Wet leaves in fall.
Once in a while, you get shown the light In the strangest of places if you look at it right
