Any of you trap a Golf Course or Country Club? My first time ever trying some serious trapping I was able to trap muskrats at a country club. Actually caught a few.
Golf Course in Tuscon, AZ. has local bobcats. I wasn't trapping tho.
Who's been there done that?

You should get ahold of the golf course superintendent and ask him. Most courses don’t like the water critters they cause ponds to leak and they destroy the bank. Beavers cut the trees down not good and plug up drainage culverts. Otters eat there grass carp ( not good) Raccoons get into the trash real bad. Yotes can even rip the cup up smelling someone that ate a greasy sandwich and didn’t wash their hands. The most important thing is to prove to him to do it discretely. Those wild pigs destroy courses. I know this because I’m a superintendent.

I got roped into "removing" the tame ducks and geese from the pond one Fall. It did NOT go well and thankfully it was before cell phone days so I don't think there were any video's.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I've taken lots of muskrats from our local course. Usually had to check in the dark or lousy weather, otherwise too many spectators.

Did it once for some beavers that were causing damage. Not worth the hassle. Eric

I've trapped beaver on a few golf courses over the years in MN and MT.

Private 3 hole golf course I trapped as a kid. The sand pits were my go to. Two sets at each one and no trap circle ruining the grass. Red fox doubles quite a few times back then. Some possum and coon but also quite a few skunks. The skunks would tear up that course looking for grubs

I did one course quite a few years ago targeting skunks mostly. They were destroying the fairways.

Trapped one for 15 years it had 7 ponds and a stream. Caught anywhere from 10 to 40 rats, an occasional mink and some coons.the year after rats averaged $14 at auction 2012 or 13 a guy came in and told golf course owner he would trap from first day of season until last day.when I showed up to trap the owner told me about the other guy, said I could still trap. I had received written permission in the summer. Rats tanked that spring and the other guy hasn’t been back. Owner called me said he had a problem a few years later. I told him it would be $200 set up fee and $10.00 per rat. Guess he should have taken care of his no charge trapper. Caught 11 rats there this year $310. Nice average.

I trap my local one on a nuisance basis. It can be easy trapping for some things. I've learned not to get into most of the ponds because you'll sink to your crotch in goose crap

The Grounds Superintendent knew I trapped and asked if could set a few muskrat traps around the course. One morning in mid October I was playing a round and checked a few 110's I'd set. My buddies thought it was pretty funny. When I finished up the round, the Super drove by and asked how the round went. I told him I had a great round. Got two birdies and four muskrats. He gave me a big old thumbs up.

I used to trap my local golf course. Took care of any rats and beaver and had a free membership to the course and free cart for the 10 years I lived there. I love to play golf, so I got my money's worth. laugh
