That looks like alot of lube. Maybe try adjusting how deep the bullet goes into the sizer and eliminate the lube in the top groove of the bullet. Why are you pan lubing when you have a sizer?

Keep your boots dry

Well it because it's cheaper really. The lube sizer dies are like $30 a pop and only have a few sizes. Vs my NOE push though deal I use for my power coated bullets. Already have a massive selection of the little sizing collets in a lot more sizes and there only $10 a pop.. not to mention my house a a little drafty and I don't have a heater for my lube sizer so....yeah honestly I find the thing to be more of a pain half the time then anything. Pan lubing is a lil messy but I kinda prefer it .

As far as the lube over the top driving band that due to either the lil cake cutter or when I push them though the sizer die. Just white it off real quick after I load em

For hunting applications I shoot most everything in the head, or high in the neck (if I want the skull). But if a clean broadside shot is the best option I get presented, I like to know how well the bullet will hold together and penetrate. That said, I've killed lots of blacktail deer with .223 55 grain V-max, I just know I have to choose shots wisely and only take head or high neck shots if I don't want any drama

You know that's funny you say that. Most folks from up you way I talk to take head or neck shots. Never understood why it's such an odd thing to do down here. Even with something as big as a pig But guess it's all about comfort and all. But I'm just a YouTube expert so
Anyhow yeah these are made of Lyman #2 alloy and water dropped to harden them a bit more so they should hold up pretty good... Expansion.... Idk about that smile

I take a lot of head shots because my equipment is capable of it. All I have to do is my part.

You ever try the Lee lube wolfdog? I use it on my cast 45/70 and 357 bullets and like it. Quick and easy, just put the bullets in a plastic cup like a sour cream or butter container, squirt some lube on them and shake them around until they are all well coated and then dump out on a piece of wax paper to dry. They shoot good and I've never had any leading issues.

Never tried cast bullets in anything faster than a 30-30 though.

Talking about ALOX right ? If so nah having tried it yet. Seems a bit messy but apparently works good. Recon I should add it to the list one of these days lol

Yes, I couldn't think of the name and was too lazy to go upstairs and look at it.
