How do you roll? I've owned the cheapest stuff and some of the more expensive stuff, but I'm still not sure I have it figured out. Seems like, no matter what you get, the burners blow out in 2-3 years. I've settled for middle of the road. This one is $300. Heavy grates and good heat control with a side burner (absolute "must" for me). Not comparing to smoker grills, just plain old gas grills.

My brother sells made in usa grills! Cast aluminum body's but best thing is, they have a lifetime warranty on the burners! Had mine now for probably 20 years and only replaced them once.

I'm with you that the mid priced grills are a good choice. I like to store mine in the garage when not in use too as it adds a little life span to them.

I needed a new grill last year, talked to the wife charcoal sure taste good cooking on so we bought a big green egg. After a year I’m going back to a mid grade Webber gas grill. I like the fact that most stores sell the parts for them. My last Weber lasted over 25 years with a couple rebuilds. I figure they are the best bang for the buck.
Also it’s nice to not have to plan ahead as far, turn and burn.

I have a weber genesis and a backup set of parts

I like them , they are reasonably available used at decent prices and have enough parts that I have most of a second grill I got for free as a parts grill

50 bucks for the one I bought in July 2022

Weber fan as well. We’ve had ours for about 5 years and only replaced the heat shields.

Aren't the burners an easy replace even if they do give out? I will say though, store them someplace dry if you have lots of weather.

I'll take the time to start charcoal and get it hot. The flavor is worth it. Eating is at the top of the list.

I like cooking with wood if I'm grilling. Especially beef.

I'm trying to decide if I need a gas grill anymore or not. I'm coming up on a year without mine. Seems my pellet smoker and my Blackstone are doing all I need.

I was positive I needed a Weber Genesis, but now I'm not so sure.

That's what we have. Had it since the early 80s. Had to replace the metal drip bars once. Got a local blacksmith make some for me. Keep the grill outside on the patio with a cover. Have never replaced the burners. Oh, did have to replace the igniter once.
