I know the yankee ground hog claims 6 more weeks of winter BUT our sand mountain sam possum who is 31-1 in his prediction's claims we're going to have an early spring.

Wisconsin's ground hog Jimmy predicted an early spring also. Can't trust the little rodent though, couple years back he bit the mayor in the ear during the forecast.

Depending on the politician bit, it might show that the groundhog is an excellent judge of character.
