Dems doubling down on what hasn’t been working from them. Democrat leadership is beholden to the fringes of their party, wether that be trans people, BLM and DEI supporters ,or anti-gunners. Gun control is quickly going to become a losing issue for Democrats. Gun ownership among Democrats has jumped just in the last few years, from around 20% of Democrats owning a gun to around 30%. (About 50% of republicans own guns). Regular people who vote Democrat (not the leadership of the party) are quickly realizing the disconnect between saying "politician/group X wants to take our rights away and poses an existential threat to us" (even if that's not true, they still think it), and saying "only the government should have guns, we shouldn't have the tools to protect ourselves from politician/group X".

Some of the hared core dems are waking up. My cousins x wife hard core dem Told my cousin before the election she was having conflicting feelings. Having a Democrat her entire life But doesn't like what's going on and didn't honestly know who she would vote for. Knowing how her strong left leaning brain works he only responded well your pretty smart you will know what to do.
