The way it works you just don't buy corn chips from mexico or whatever they make from them. Find an alternative or do without. If the tariffs effect you they shouldn't don't their whiskey or corn chip or what ever they have to sell if you don't want to buy at a higher price.

We have more oil in the US than Canada. Probably have more just in KS. Certainly in any one of TX ND or CA. If the Canadians are unhappy maybe the answer is to petition your government to exclude US sales? The oil market is global after all. But isn’t your oil more like tar? It’ll screw up your refineries….lol. You guys gotta watch Landman and learn how the world of oil works!

Lugnut is correct ..most of an American house is American materials, even if you use Canadian Lumber, the tariff doesn't add up to that much...lumber is the cheap part of a house

I'd rather legalize fentanyl and give it to the losers who want it for free. Problem solved permanently. Way better than tanking the economy.
And, this is not about fentanyl. Meth too. Five gallon bucketful. Would be cheaper. A REAL war on drugs will work. Need to go after American distributers. there has to be American cartels to facilitate the amount of drugs available. I suspect that just like in Mexico there are people powerful enough they are near untouchable.

However "but we probably have more in Kansas" shows your lack of knowledge. Saskatchewan itself has three times more than Kansas. Does it make a difference in the whole thing? No. But "probably" isn't the best way to take on persuading somebody.

Fentenayl made in Mexico killing 100,000 per year ring a bell? All either country had to do was stop the drugs and illegals.
In Trump speak, tariffs are an economic club used to beat countries into submission. All the news reports want to talk about is price of booze and avacados going into super bowl guacamole dip. They leave out the original intent.
What is missing is an objective measure these countries can meet to get tariffs lifted.

I agree that the flow of migrants is an issue and needs to be remedied. But don't buy into the flow of fantanyl from north nonsense. Your border agency, and I say again, your agents that are responsible for stopping things entering, stop fentanyl coming into your country. Less than 1 % of that is from the north.
