I know there are a few other bibliophiles on here, and I'd love to talk books with other collectors or enthusiasts. I have a large collection of hunting, fishing, trapping, exploration, and adventure books in my collection. If anyone what a recommendation let me know what area or species you want me to give recommendations for. I also would love to trade, swap, buy, or sell books with other as well. Thanks - Mike ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/02/full-309-246911-20230515_132734.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/02/full-309-246912-20230515_132738.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/02/full-309-246913-20230515_132746.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/02/full-309-246914-20230515_132752.jpg) Plus another shelf and books tucked in drawers and up on top of the existing cases LOL

Fresh Read The Golden Grindstone by Angus Graham It’s one man’s adventure to the Yukon Gold fields, breaks his leg and how the Indians fix him up is astonishing!
Sounds like a great read.! I have most of the Safari Press, Amwell Press, and Trophy Room books, in the collection and the singed limited ones (they can get way pricey now)

Hey Mike -

I'd like to encourage you to look into my books. Hunting and trapping mostly. "The Last Hunt", "Wild Life",and "Long Way Home". I think they might go good with your collection.

The most I ever paid was $500 for 1st Signed limited edition of Hunting in Tanzania by Tony Sanchez Arino, but its worth much more My Theodore Roosevelt collection is my pride and joy though My rule is usually pay 1/3 value or less unless exceptionally rare then 1/2 value

Hey Mike? When are you gonna sell me “no more the tusker” for $20? I have some books; mostly old classics, westerns, trapping, archery/bowhunting, firearms, adventure.

Books are a spin off of when I started trapping, but my collection is tiny compared to yours. Got a couple copies of the big Fur Management in North America book. One on the shelf, the other is on the table beside the couch for everyday use. I like the pistol slid in on top of the books!…lol

I collect books. I have hundreds maybe over a thousand. Most are not worth much although I always buy hardcover if available.
Some have some value, Some first edition, first printing Steinbecks, and other early authors are worth hundreds. I have two copies of The Dreamnland Park Murders that I've seen offered for between $250-$600 which is surprising since they were only available in softcover. I have some rare older books and some of Julia Child's books that are worth thousands.
Most of my favorites aren't worth much money but I'll never sell them because I enjoy reading them so much.

I have the same issue - so many books yet to read, well one day I'll retire and be able to read them all then possibly. Want to write a book reviewing all the books in my library.
I use a program called CLZ Books to keep track of my books, helps me keep track of what I have, values, etc. Look into it if you're a collector too
