Only 2 years ago the wife ask me to remove the mini-split that broke, so tonight I took it out. Not a single word of thanks when the job was completed. The only thing she said was “how long are the wool socks going to be stuffed in the hole”!!!! I should be put up for sainthood or something.

Shove some pink fiberglass in it and nail a coffee can lid over the hole, than tell her it's all done.

Just use some duct tape. Wood grained would go good with the window trim.

My buddy came in to work 6 or 7 years ago (pre-covid) and told the funniest story of a weasel running around inside his parent's house. This involved the dog going berserk and chasing it with no concern for his safety or that of the furnishings in the house. After what seemed like an eternity to his mother the weasel disappeared down a hole in the living room floor and the chaos subsided. She of course directed my buddy's father to fix that hole so it doesn't happen again. He walked outside the house and found a broken brick, brought it inside and set it on top of the hole and said he would fix it in the spring.

Unfortunately he passed away three years later and that brick still sits there as a monument to procrastination, or maybe it is just a common sense solution to a not so common occurrence.

I miss that old timer.

My wife said I should listen to a tape on how not to procrastinate.I said I would listen to it later.
