So we got hit with a pretty good ice storm here in Elk county PA. Not too bad if you know how to drive in it.
I run fire police for a couple of the fire depts in the area. To say it was a busy day would be an understatement. Between the 3 companies I run with we had 6 accident calls. Some not so bad, others were interesting. This is one of the most interesting calls I've been on.
We get called out around 10:30 for a 2 vehicle wreck involving a car and a semi. As we're going to the scene it comes across the scanner that the driver of the car is combative and fighting with a passerby. We get to the scene about the same time as the police. This "lady" is inside a semi that had stopped. They jerked her out of the truck, and she got away from the cops somehow. She proceeds to get naked and starts directing traffic as she is walking away from the scene.
She comes towards my buddy and I's direction, just strolling down the road buck naked. The cops are yelling across the radio asking where she went. My buddy gets on his and says she's walking down the road. They yell across the radio to tackle her. He yells back I don't get paid enough to do that. They run her down and tackle her in the snow bank. As they're walking her back to their car they ask why she's naked. She says "I'm hot". My buddy yells at her "No you're not." She turns and looks at him and starts dancing with a laughing cop trying to keep a hold of her. He says "Ewwwwwwww put some clothes on." She stops then decides she needed to pee and poo right there in the middle of the road. The cop still has a hold of her and is trying his hardest not to puke.
He finally gets her inside his car and comes over and told my buddy to clean up the road. He tells him that's a hazmat situation and we don't deal with those.
Then to make matters worse one of the witnesses tells the cops she had thrown something over the guardrail as she was walking away.
They walk over and WAAAAYYYYY down the embankment there was a little cosmetic bag. They had to go this steep hill to retrieve this bag. It contained all sorts of drug paraphernalia . We get the scene cleaned up headed back to the station. We were in there debriefing and in walks the cops. They good naturedly called us every name they could think of. Then asked if we could spray out the back if his car. We oblige him. It was least we could do for all the ribbing he took. We asked him why he couldn't control her when getting her out of the truck. He said it wasn't even him. He said the cop who pulled her out was getting ready to cuff her when grabbed him by the jewels and squeezed, He said he was at the hospital getting checked out. He said the lady had $10,000 worth of fentanyl and about $5000 of both meth and heroin.
Our DA is pretty strong on fentanyl. So if the judge does his job she should be going away for awhile.
