Question for you guys. In your opinion(s) are Super Stakes a better anchoring option than Wolf Fangs when dealing with frozen ground? I was extending my line today and my Wolf Fang driver wouldn't come back up. Ended up pulling it out with the side by side, putting a nice bend in it about half way down. I was thinking that maybe the Super Stake driver might come back up easier.

Or should I consider using drags? Where I am we normally have 4 or 5 feet of snow by now, been really warm this winter. I have used some cable extensions when I can set near a tree or have a nice, solid log to use as a drag.

Looking forward to your thoughts. Thanks.

Haha, even in barren ground I’m using drags and just quick link the chain to the drag around a tree. Use a long enough chain, but not too long using that method, cause cats will climb trees with one!!

Pre-drill all holes. In summer use wolf fang or rebar. Drill with a ship auger bit - cheap at harbor freight. In winter drill holes with a masonry bit in a hammer drill. In winter, use rebar stakes only.

This will really save wrists, elbows, and shoulders. I learned this from a guy on here.

Drags are usually my go to. Or anchored around a tree that's 10" or better. Or freeze in the chain with some hot water

Drag or clog for bigger animals.
