Looking to try some long springs and have found some Northwoods #3’s. Are these good traps without too much modification? Looking to use as exposed pan sets for bobcat mostly.

Buy 'em quick...good traps and they are hard to find....might want to consider changing out the rivet on the chain or put a weld bead on it.

The Victors I can break over my knee no problem, these Northwoods about every other one I can not get set.

Have you tried slapping at them with your purse?

The trick is breaking one spring at a time.

Fumble fingers. Here's the rest. After the first spring is held compressed by the piece of aluminum you can compress the other spring anyway you want and finish setting.

I have 2 sets of locking body grip setters. Worked like a charm.

If you have a hard time with them I think you should give the up.
