Looking to try some long springs and have found some Northwoods #3’s. Are these good traps without too much modification? Looking to use as exposed pan sets for bobcat mostly.

Thanks

Buy 'em quick...good traps and they are hard to find....might want to consider changing out the rivet on the chain or put a weld bead on it.

Don't listen to those guys, send them to me. I'm the only official Northwoods trap recycling center. grin grin

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Here is what I found. 5 dozen in box, and 2 loose along with 10 Victor #3. This was more than I needed, TrapperKris has first shot at the extra.

Holy Moly these things are stout. What is the trick to set them, setters?

The Victors I can break over my knee no problem, these Northwoods about every other one I can not get set.

Have you tried slapping at them with your purse? grin

The trick is breaking one spring at a time.

Fumble fingers. Here's the rest. After the first spring is held compressed by the piece of aluminum you can compress the other spring anyway you want and finish setting.

That’s it! Thanks much 3togo

I have 2 sets of locking body grip setters. Worked like a charm.
