Got an old single six that was dads trapping gun. After he passed, i pulled it out of the holster to shoot a coon and the entire ejector assembly fell off into the creek. I looked for a while and couldnt find it. I want to get this thing going again but cant find the parts-always out of stock. Any pointers? Serial is 146119. Thanks in advance.

Lots of parts on eBay. I just did a quick search seen several sights and ejectors. Not sure if they are the correct ones but I’m guessing someone will have it on there.
Jack First in Rapid City SD is aways worth a call also.

Here you go. There might be a difference between the new and old model, (3 screw).

Get or borrow a metal detector get your butt back to the creek. Worth a try. Even a decent pin pointer would work if waters not to deep. If it's not a high traffic area shouldn't be a bunch of trash to deal with. Go for it.
If the creek has a fairly hard bottom there is very good chance you can find even small parts. One thing people tend to do especially with soft bottom. Is feel around or walk around trying find something. Push it into the bottom out of reach of a detector. Unless you really good with your detector.
I know i would be giving it a try.
Also just thought of trying the very strong magnet. I carry 4 different magnets in my truck. Plain metal items their often my go to before I get the detector out.
Just a brain farted when I first typed this. Getting old is killing me.

I would buy one if I could find one too. Mine is scratched up from an old leather holster. The snap on the hold down strap did it. Works just fine but its ugly. Been thinking about sending to ruger for a reblue. They could replace it I am sure. Blue wont fix it. I think that the pin is steel but the housing is aluminum so blue wont work even if the gouge could be polished out. It has a lot of wear on the finish. Looks like a gun carried on a trapline or twenty. The cylinder pin is stainless. When I lost the original blued pin the only replacement I could find was stainless.

This does not sound awful in price.

A new one with a mag cylinder is about 650. I think if I have ruger do it it would still sell for more than I have in it. Pretty dont make one shoot better but, its well pretty. Maybe about even with a new cylinder pin and ejector housing.

I lost a recoil spring from an older ruger 9mm. I called Ruger and talked to a real person and they mailed me one for free. Your parts probably won't be free, but you might be surprised at the customer service.
