Does anyone send a final report/letter to land owners when the season is over?

If so please share an example. Thank you.

be very cautious about reporting all you catch at someones place i lost permission being honest one time was trapping coyotes on this 100 acres one fall ran into the farmer after i pulled my traps he asked how i did so being honest with my catch which was 8 coyotes,4 fox and a skunk he was like wow thats pretty good but you never told me you where going to catch fox and i lost the property

Never to landowner. Would keep them posted if they asked. State special use permits was not required to report. Federal permit yes I sent one as the COE were I was asked for one.

The numbers are reported in the bill. Every person gets one.

I only have a few private landowners on my line. If they ask numbers I'll tell them. Otherwise I drop off a case of beer and tell them thanks.

I report to my landowners or I won't be hired back.

If being paid you need to but for fur no say . I knew a land owner let some one turkey hunt he showed off his turkey to them and was not let back to hunt.

This happened to me. I did particularly well on a guys place one season, told him I had caught 21 reds at a single location.

He blabbed to the farmer that was renting his land who then decided he wanted some of that action. Luckily, the guy wasn't much of a trapper and gave it up after two seasons. I got the place back and told the owner to keep his mouth shut after that. (in a nice way).

I send "thank You" letters to all my landowners at the end of each season but I no longer give catch details.

I am not paid to trap.

A couple of my properties are under video surveillance. I notify the owner on my way in and again on my way out. Catch is communicated every time and a final report is included with the bill.

Early on, after my first year trapping a property, the owner asked how I had done and I told her what I had caught. Lost the property the next year because grandpa was going to help grandson trap and make a little cash. I followed up the next year and got the property back. Trapping was work and grandson didn't want any part of that.

A weekly text with numbers and critters and at the end of the job with a totals and the bill with pics available on request. They all want thermal videos, lol!

I never did the beer or liquor thing, I use to drop off a Ham before Easter. That way Mr. and Mrs. were both happy with what that trapper dropped off. And they always seemed happy to chat for a while. ( and gain permission for the upcomming season ) Most of the time I just tell them I did pretty good , and they are satisfied with that.

I have a basic form , they circle what they want taken so there should be no surprises also opens the conversation to what they might not want taken.
the form fills all the requirements in WI for out of season nuisance permission.

it also gives me specific permission to shoot in and around buildings including their primary dwelling so that I am covered in WI you need permission to shoot within 100 yards of a primary dwelling.
