Built a pole barn last summer and currently starting to work on putting a butcher shop in the back end. Wondering if anyone has experience using the under sink on demand 120v water heaters. Would mostly be just using hot water for grinder, stuffer cleanup.

My dad bought a 220 volt one at a flea market for 5 bucks a couple of years ago. He put it under the polebarn sink, really easy to hook up and super nice to wash your hands in hot water. He said if it ever quit he would buy another one whatever they cost. lol

They are sensitive to the water flow though. It came with a special end you put on the faucet. The aerator nozzle thing whatever it’s called. If the water flows too fast like an open water hose or whatever it won’t heat it fast enough and it will be cold. Likewise if the flow is too slow it won’t trip the switch inside to kick the heating element on and the water will be cold. It sure is nice to have hot water to wash your hands with. It can’t use much electricity either as it only runs a few seconds at a time.

As far as 120v goes I don’t know how hot they get.

They can really be a pain with hard water especially if not used often.

With this one being the pump is out side in an underground pump house and water lines run underground coming in the water in the winter time is not what you would call hot. Nice and warm is more like it. In the summer time it gets too hot to hold your hands under the faucet.
