Hardly a summer goes by that I've been asked if I can do anything about all the eagles taking out cats, chickens, ducks and other farm animals. The answer is always the same, federal prison is NOT part of my retirement plan!

Too many for sure. Used to be they didn't go above the treeline but they're all over near the ocean now. See 30-40 a day when boating in the summer. 50+ hanging around fish camps in the delta or 100+ at the town dump.

They don't taste as good as Spotted Owls, but there's more meat. Depends on how you marinate em

Here in Iowa they hang around the hog buildings (pig factories) and it's common to see them standing and sitting near the dead pig pot - they eat well here. Pretty impressive sight seeing them on the nest or near their nest. Not sure what the Iowa eagles taste like - probably a hint of pork but I heard someone from Minnesota say theirs' taste like loon.

Well we are going to find out. Our Governor and his band of thieves in the Legislature doled out 18.5 Million for a loon center in MN. I assume they'll be serving some sort of loon burger or loon tacos in the snack bar
