Is it just me or anyone else in the South catching a bunch of dinks? I ain’t complaining cause they all pay the same, but I swear they all have to be young of the year the past couple of weeks. I’m catching possums that dwarf them both.

When your take is made up of mostly young critters then you are scraping near the bottom of the barrel.

Yeah, first year on this place and I actually started feeling bad for the landowner ($$$) and critters. It had never been trapped and NO ONE around had ever trapped. Over the years it’s progressively decreased, which is a good thing for the landowner, sorta sucks for me, lol. But, happy landowners are loyal landowners.
This place is a turkey Mecca! 750ac and he could probably shoot 6 gobblers a year off of it, lol. Saw 27 hens/poults the other day in one area, crossed the creek and counted 11 gobblers together and have seen 8 jakes together. The 8 jakes had me worried when I saw them, but seeing the gobblers days later eased my worries.
I’ll still make a little money on this place thanks to possums, lol!
