Anyone ever hear of an outfit called "Zero Outfitter Fee" (zerooutfitterfees.com) ? In an abridged nutshell.......you pay a fee per year to join (between $800-$1000 depending on whether you join the 2 state or 5 state deal), then they do all the drawing paperwork, etc. for applying for tags for various big game hunts. If you draw, the guide fee for the hunt, etc. is free.

You are basically paying the "guide fee" in payments because anymore it takes many years to draw a tag

Probably required to maintain their service yearly or lose the guiding

I don’t understand how that’s considered free if it costs $800 to $1000 per year. If you don’t draw a tag for 5 years then you’ve spent $5000. That’s a long ways from free imo

You're just not paying extra once you finally get to hunt.

sounds like a heck of a plan if you are a guide

get 300 people to pay you 1000 a year , now you make 300K a year and guide the same max number of hunts you would have guided any way maybe 20.

if you work that right the guiding business pays for everything you own right down to the wool undies on your bum so your income taxes are nothing and you probably even qualify for state medical.

after all you work for a business that pays you little more than beer money

it really is the same way software has gone , everything is a subscription so they get you 50 every year and you get an update as they write them VS paying 200 for an application and then using it for the 5 years you can make the computer last before you need a new one and the old application won't load on the new pc

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I think a lot of people don't know how to save long term and this allows a guide to be able to get clients who otherwise couldn't or wouldn't be able to afford the hunt when the time came. Also it allows the person. To enjoy the hunt without saving up for it as it's already paid for. Not my style but just someone trying to gain traction in an already competitive market.

Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

I saw a video pop up on FB of this yesterday. Looked like they were at a booth at a show advertising it.

My impression was it was scammy.

If to many of the suckers that paid the fee get drawn for a season, they won't have enough guides available in the program for them.

I have a hunch someone is going to be left holding the bag at some point in the future; and it isn't going to be the folks you've been paying all that money to for years and years.
