I think I'm going to need a new .22 soon. I've always loved lever actions and I think I'll be getting either the Winchester Ranger or one of the Henrys. Does anyone have a Winchester Ranger .22? How are they? What about the Henry?
Any info about either would be appreciated!!
Thanks!

I've got the 22Mag and 22LR Henry. Both great guns. Well built, fun and accurate.

My 10/22 still sees the bulk of the work and shooting, both in the woods and plinking.

Ruger 10/22 is hard to beat.

I love lever actions for plinking. They look cool and are fun to shoot. But for trapping, a .22 with a removable magazine is so much more practical. When shooting just one shot and putting the gun away it's a pain to clear the action of a lever action each time.

United we stand.

I have two Henry's / .22 mag and .22 cal. both great shooting and accurate rifles, not to mention perty looking rifles. Got a 22 mag.cal. Stevens lever action. great shooting gun.Its probabaly near 40 yrs old. Uncle use to slay Ghogs with that ole lever action out beyond what I thought was out of range shooting for a 22 mag.

This may hurt some feelings, but I dont care where a product is made, I do care how well its made. Im not saying which one of those is made better, I personally dont know, but like many on here, I work hard for my money and I try to do my research to get the best product for my money...regardless of origin. Let the flaming begin....

browning 22 lever actions are amazing. i always wanted a henry but then i tried out a browning and the sights were better and more acurate and the action was wayyy crisper and the gun was built with more quality. they are about 2 to 300 more then a henry but brownings if taken care of good hold their value pretty well and might even go up in value compared to a 400 dollar henry

Henry octagon has threaded barrel with cap and you can get a suppressor for it later. Not to mention I'd buy ten of them before a Winchester. Not that theres anything wrong with Winchester I'm a Model 12 guy but thats just how much I think of Henry.

And?? Simple. Country of origin doesnt always speak to quality of product as what had possibly been inferred in a previous post.
