It just rained here, but it took me twice as long to get to Columbus and back because there was lots of accidents, mostly with 3 to 5 vehicles involved.

At least I'm not the only one who got high centered this week.

Got a bit close to the ditch when I was checking traps in a power line. Too much time looking at the set and not enough at the road……

I would have been okay if I didn't have a trailer behind me. Turned off the highway on a road that they had been hauling logs on, but they finished up and quit plowing it a week or two ago. Went past the first spot to turn around (100 feet off the highway) and knew in just a minute it was a mistake, with a berm on both sides hard from plowing there was no place to turn around with a trailer. Kept going trying to get to a spot they had plowed wide enough. All uphill. Made it about a half mile and was only three or four hundred more yards to the top of the hill where there was a good turn around when I spun out. About 16" of snow on top of polished ice from chained up log trucks. Ended up unloading the snowmachine, then unhooking from the trailer and turning the trailer around by hand. Without a trailer attached I could drive the truck up and turn it around.

Get a jeep........

Not today, but yeah, when you bury it deep enough that the suspension floats and the tires are still a foot off the hard pack, there's gonna be a lot of digging. More speed USUALLY means more digging. Done that a few times on and off road.

I didn't get any pictures and it was not due to snow but I did sink my 2wd ranger in mud that was just cut grass this week going back to check traps with the boys. walked up to dsds.and got his truck to pull it out.

When I had Jeeps, they got stuck too

The shorter wheel based older ones I got stuck as well.But these longer wheel based gladiators are something else.You don't realize untill a person drives one.Its amazing.

I was down in my swamp yesterday clearing some trees for a pond I plan on building and got stuck with my 4WD Kubota. The ground wasn't froze as hard as I thought I guess. I had to use the back-hoe and front bucket to "walk" the machine to more solid ground.
