Trapping beavers. Beaver dam caused a train derailment , hurt 3 people and spilled hundreds of gallons of fuel.
Time to break out the traps.

You might be thinking of Don Dudley. He and Ray Porter used to hit them hard, and often used a plane.
It is pretty difficult to make money with 2025 expenses and the low prices. Low prices considering the effort.

Most Maine trappers are working beaver in the fall and spring these days. There are more beaver than at any other time since I have been trapping.
Still plenty of trappers that trap some, simply because they always have, myself included.

Have not trapped many beaver at all since I got into the fisher and marten trapping.Miss trapping beaver under the ice with my father.
