my son is dating a woman from brazil and i got to meet her on superbowl sunday. we were discussing our backgrounds and i shared how my family was raised on all types of fish and game. most of my food has come out of a tree or a ditch . she casually asked if i like lizzard. come again i think was my responce. not quite sure i understood her she showed me a pic on her phone of some type of iguana bout 3 feet long and said you like? she likes. so now when i am cooking something at home i ask the wife" how you want your lizzard !!!

If you want to surprise her with a meal from back home, you can purchase frozen iguanas out of Florida, fairly cheaply. We ate iguana for New Years Day a few years ago. It was okay, fairly chicken like.
Most of the iguanas harvested in Florida are shipped to Central and South America.
i would love to do something like that! the rest of my kids would just sh-t! they dont trust anything in a crockpot with bbq sauce! i worked at our local school as the maintenence guy and whenever the teachers would have some potluck thing i would always offer to bring a dish. all would politely decline and say "we have plenty". but at the end of the year when i cooked fish and chicken for the whole district there was a very long line!!!
Chickens are descendants of dinosaurs. So are lizards. Why wouldn't they taste like chicken. Lizards probably don't eat their own poo like chickens do.

this is getting to be a sport
or you wait for the coldest day of the year down to about 30 and they fall out of the trees and people pick them up sometimes by the truck bed worth.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
