I work a Monday-Friday job so I just target fisher close to my house, in fact the first one of the year came from a box 100 yards from my deck. We like our whitetail hunting quite a bit so I didn’t really get after them until we wrapped that up. I’ve got a couple more to put up and two weeks left to try pick up a few more but even if I don’t I’m quite satisfied. They’re my favourite fur bearer to target, just thought I’d share a pic with some other people who are interested in what the majority of my friends aren’t. Lol

Nice, thanks for posting. You must have prime fisher habitat to get that many close to home. Congratulations

Good haul. Casual fisher trapping after deer hunting sounds like my plans too lol

Do you ship them to auction? What do you do with them?

Is that your limit or was that just what you caught? Did you trap the whole season?

There is no limit. The season was open for 2 or 3 weeks before I got around to it. It ends at the end of this month.

We don't have a limit in my zone in Ontario either for fisher, but I think we are the only zone that is true for in the province.

A trapper I know around here caught 50 fisher in 30 days maybe 5 years ago.

Nice string of fisher skins.
Prices not too bad on fisher last few auction sales.

Nice looking fisher, I wish our limit was more than 1
Releasing fisher with the coat method isn't fun
Took 3 tries but I got it done
Hope you can pick up a few more

I can’t say I’d love that job. I imagine they’d have to potential to be feisty. I was hoping for 20 but we’re in a cold stretch now and I don’t do as well on them when it’s real cold so getting five more is likely a dream.

I didn’t trap any last year but last years results on fisher made me take up the pursuit again. They’re easier money than a coyote these days. Lol
