The World of Just finding and buying a lab pup nowadays is pretty tough

Ive been in contact with a guy in Columbus, Ohio

Sends me pictures of Two chocolate female pups
Today with Green grass and Full leafed trees in the picture

I asked him to Video chat with me before I send a deposit. he put me off all day sending me a video and 4 still shots.

My son has money down on a reputable breeder in north western Pennsylvania. He purchased a chocolate 13 years ago from her. It past on. 3 days after Candy past, she posted she will have pups soon. She did have the pups now, I believe there’s 8 or 9. Some are counted for.

I would say he doesn't, maybe ask for references. I went through the same process a year ago, and I stopped because of scams. I miss my Labrador.

I did a quick google search of lab breeders in MN and it brought up several options.

It's a common scam, especially with the small breeds. Scammers find pictures on the web and start taking orders....

Great looking pups at a plenty fair price.

That's a great price. AKC (pure) labs from hunting stock start at $1,000.00 around here and you can easily pay over $2,000.00 depending on pedigree (hunt champions in lineage).

Eh...wot?

Why you looking for the dumbest of the colors? LOL

I've always had yellows until I bought a black female three years ago.

I'd like to get a chocolate sometime, maybe the next one.

Eh...wot?

I’d like to put together a dream team of the three main colors.

The black and yellow in the pic below are mine. The chocolate is my black lab’s sister. I just need a chocolate to make the dream come true. LOL

The quality of these dogs are not reflected in the price. He didn't market them well and they're driving him nuts! My dog came from Master Hunter stock and is a heck of an athlete. His dog also came from excellent dogs and hunts but I've never hunted over her. There was 8 pups and the Females went fast, not sure why no one wanted these males, I'm of the opinion that all 4 of them will hunt and hunt well.

If I was in the market right now I'd be contacting your buddy. Wife says we have to get rid of one of the three dogs that lives here before we get another.

Two of them are my hunters/retrievers and one is my daughter's rescue, entertaining but basically a village idiot.

If the dog is not registered with AKC papers they are NOT worth a lot. I would NEVER buy a dog without paperwork with a good family history. There is a reason you pay $3000 for a quality dog. Not just hunting quality but good medical background is very important. Here is a listing for AKC Ohio.

Actually, the last one was worse. I gave an arm and a leg for a "silver lab". Beautiful dog but it would get mean for no reason. The first couple of times it got mean with kids, I wasn't there to see it and blamed it on the kids. I assumed they pulled her tail or something. The LAST time, I was with my best friend and his kids working on deer stands. Silvy spent the day playing with his kids and when we went to leave, the dog got in the truck and as soon as one of the girls got in, she drilled her. Bad. That did it. Come to find out, that was the 3rd pup from the same breeder the vet had put down that month. I had the best dog I could ever hope for and had her for 13 years and anything else will just be a disappointment.

I have nothing clever to put here.

We just crossed our Black Lab male to a chocolate female owned by a good friend of mine yesterday. 63 days from now there should be pups. 8 weeks after that they’d be ready to go. Not sure what colors will be thrown. Both parents are strong hunters. Both do waterfowl and upland. There may be a couple available depending on the litter size.

Who wouldn't want to take a lab puppy home on the 4th of July? (If my math is right)
