What are your favorite nuts to eat? BTW, everything I've read says most nuts are good for your heart.
My favorites listed best to last are:

1. Pecans
2. Cashews
3. Hazelnuts
4. Almonds
5. Walnuts
6. Peanuts

I don't like Pistachios and really hate Macadamias.

When us older people say, "Enjoy them while they're young." We are talking about our hips and knees, not our kids.

Pecans first, then walnuts then Brazil.

Peanuts are garbage beans.

Cashews, by far may favorite.
No real order for the rest.

Mike, I agree completely, peanuts are cheap filler.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Hickory nuts are so labor intensive, I am pretty sure you burn more calories getting the meat out of the shell than the nut actually has.
But they are used in one my family's Christmas cookie recipes, so I shell some every year.

Virtually 100% of the US hazelnut crop grows within 100 miles of my farm. In recent years huge amounts of blight resistant cultivars are being planted. Many by money from huge packers like Blue Diamond.

Interesting factoid: Hazelnuts bloom in January here and are wind pollinated.

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

Pretty much all but cashews....

I don't think they're meant to be eaten......shells are poisonous

I like them all (except peanuts; not really a nut), I like to eat them mixed. I like walnuts but they give me canker sores, so I try to avoid them.

Pistachios, Cashews, Walnuts. The order would depend on the day ! Also favor Pepitas and Ranch flavored Sunflower seeds.

Cashews and peanuts are NOT nuts. I would not eat cashews. Peanuts are legumes. You guys should have learned that when Jimmy Carter was president.
