Anybody on here shoot the Walther comp series of handguns?? My son bought two of them and put high end holographic sights on them. dang near cheating they are so accurate. He also bought a VooDoo tactical 22 LR for competitions and put a Leupold Mark something huge scope on it. That thing is scary accurate out to 500 hundred yards which I would have never imagined was even possible. Lots of variables. He shot his first match two weeks ago and came in 4th in the open class out of 26 folks. He is wanting me to get a Tikka T something in a matchgrade 22 to shoot benchrest stuff. I cant contort my body in those freaking matches he shoots. May do it just so we can spend more time together since he is out of the military and lives four miles from me.

500 with a 22lr ?

are we talking like the PDP or PDQ for 9mm competition guns?

I dont know what that means GCP. I shot it at 500 this past weekend and I would have never thought I or anyone else could hit a 24" gong at that distance. He has a Garmin chrono with a ton of features and he is shooting LaPua 22 ammo. My 6.5 creedmores I can hit consistently a 4" plate at 500 but I wouldve never thought any size plate at 500 with a 22 LR was remotely achievable. He only shot the 22 in this match, he is signed up for matches with the handguns. He was a SpecOps combat medic in MARSOC for 9 years. He can shoot.

no grandkids DC, his wife ran off with a convict right after he returned from second deployment. He is dating a woman that will get her PHD in April from Rice University in BioEngineering. He will probably go to Medical School as soon as she gets on her feet

500 is a stretch for a 22lr

not familiar with that type of match , my son is into USPSA and goes to those matches I get to a few a year

this is what that looks like
I think one guy is running a Walther PDP , my son mostly runs a CZ when he is in carry optics division.
