Anyone driving the Nissan Frontier, would like to hear experiences, good or bad. I have always driven Toyota Tacoma's, but the prices have gone crazy on them, even the used ones. I like the V-6 in the Toyota, the new ones don't have that, they went to a turbo 4 cylinder and are very expensive. The Frontiers have the proven V-6 yet, plus they seem like they are not loaded up with as much electronics that I don't need or want. Looks like their price point is quite a bit less than the Tacoma's I also like the access cab style which are hard to find in the Tacoma's but seem readily available in the Frontiers.

Absolutely hate all the technology they are forcing on everyone in today's vehicles.

Not buying anytime soon, but just want to hear from folks that use a truck like it was meant to be used. Love my 2000 Tacoma, but the Minnesota salt is making it show its age.

I have been driving a 2000 Frontier for about 15 years. Nothing more complicated than an alternator replacement...........so far

I cant help you much but they seem to be popular around here. 3 people I know personally run them and love them. Just as popular or more so than Toyotas.

Gerald, the football player purchased a half ton Nissan a couple weeks ago against my better advice. I won't let him park it in the driveway lol.

Friend of mine got one in Aug... he loves it, price seems reasonable , for a new truck, He got the 4 door, but if I was going to look for one I'd get the king cab for the slightly longer bed...it's not a full size, but looks bigger than the Tacoma....I've been a passenger in a Tacoma, ..no thanks.

Gerald,

Catherine, on here was talking about a new one of those pickup that Jerry Pringly bought in the recent past. If memory serves me correctly it was a brand new one and not his first from that company.
Maybe check with her with question. I do not think Jerry gets on here.

Lots of good reviews on the Frontiers on YouTube check them out the reviews seem to struggle to make things a problem and that’s either minor or personal opinions. I’ll have a new one by the end of the week I’ll know better by then what up. I’m looking at them for the same reasons V6, King cab and long bed with a trailer towing package. Like you the fancy electronic BS is a problem and unnecessary for my needs the constant bells, whistles and alarms are a pain. Base price is around $33,000 to start plain Jane.

$42,000 (sticker) will get you a decent working/personal truck its no cowboy Cadillac in the mid price range King cab with a long bed. No CD players now in them that sucks just phone Bluetooth or satellite radio. No locking rear end in the low to midrange models. Paint colors are dismal choices white is very popular some clown colors a few reds and blue choices but the king cabs are the stepchild’s of the truck market it seems.

Better milage on the king cab model just finding one in stock that’s not a crew cab can be hard to locate. I’m most likely getting a white one I will look into some accent stripes to personalize it. I refused the overpriced floor mats and splash guards I can get better for half of what they try to stick a guy with.

Nothing I can’t walk away from I make them work hard to sell it to me for less. LOL

I had a 2000 that had over 326,000 miles. It was a great truck put it up for sale and a guy came 300 miles to get it. Should have probably kept it.

Yep, I've got a 2019. It's been great. No issues at all.

My dad worked with a guy that delivered mail, his Nissan pickup had 700 thousand plus miles and all he ever done was basic maintenance he quit driving it and bought a new one cause the water pump started leaking.

Drove one for work for about 6 months. My only complaint was it had a wide turning radius for such a small pickup. Otherwise, 4 times as comfortable as a tacoma and had plenty of power I thought. I believe it was a 2018. If I didnt need a full size to haul the kids, Id own one. I also wondered about the clearance in snow.

Had a '93 Nissan D21 single cab with a 2.4L four cyl engine that was bulletproof. Put 350,000 miles on it, and never had to add a drop of oil between changes.

Also had a '73 Datsun pickup with a 4 cyl that was my first trapping vehicle...Both trucks were great.

The new frontier has a 4 and a half foot bed. The cab is larger than the bed. Dealer told me you can't get a 6 foot bed anymore. I think you can if you special order it.

You can get a 6ft bed on the new quad cabs and king cab frontiers.

True dealers here have the longer beds in stock do a dealer inventory search on the web.

Mike,
Do a Google search. I have a 2017 Titan Pro4x and when I do searches for a new one all kinds of Frontiers show up.

There is a website: Car Edge.com you can look at for free. Run by a retired car dealer dad and his son. Not sure what the join price is, but they will show vehicles from all over the US with dealer asking price and mileage. if you join, that will also open up the out the door price including the "hoped for sale price", not window sticker. They include applicable state tax, licensing, registration fees.

Again, free for the initial look.

I'm surprised people say the Frontiers have a big turning radius. My Titan, IMO, has the tightest turning radius of any full size PU I've ever owned.
