Have shot 22 250 for very long time. I load all my ammo, using H 380, 55 gr., bullets, Have shot everything from yote, cats, foxes, and bunch of prairie dogs, plus some deer head/ neck shot. I consider it 1 of the best calibers, out there. As stated above, theirs, alot of good rifles to choose from. Trick to these rifles, triggers, most are adjustable.

I have a Remington model 700 VTR that I really like. Not sure how many are familiar with this model but it’s got a triangular barrel. I haven’t seen many like it. I got it from my dad about 6 or so years ago. Pushing a 50 grain Berger right at 4000FPS and will shoot one hole groups consistently.

I’m sure it is, and I would probably slow it down a bit if it didn’t shoot so well with that load. I just worked up a load that shot really good. It’s over max load in Berger’s manual but shows no pressure signs. I honestly didn’t know it was shooting that fast until I bought a Garmin Zero chronograph last year and checked my velocity.

I had that rifle in .308. I only got rid of it because it had a houge stock and hate them personally. It shot great and looked cool IMO.

The factory ammo I shoot in my Tikka 250 shoots 4000fps as well.
