When I first moved to CNY in the late 80's, I wanted to take a client steelhead fishing in the spring on the Salmon River in a drift boat. Bob's name came up multiple times so we went with him. It was GREAT, I'd guess we landed 10-12 fish, and Bob was always impressed that we let them ALL go. In the boat that day, we found out we were both trappers and that changed it all. Funny story.....he and I were meeting to go to a Herkimer Fur Sale but then I could not go due to unplanned surgery. Nothing life threatening, but I had to cancel. I woke up from anesthesia and thought I was dreaming! Where was my wife? Why am I looking a Bob Jordan??? He had somehow convinced the nurses that he was my ride home and there he sat! Hospital security my (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman)! Anyhow, he left the fur sale early to see me out of recovery. I wished I could have done more for him in the last few weeks but I guess it was his time. Godspeed my friend!
