I always used the text app that had a red icon. Then came verizon doing away with it and pushing you to switch to google messaging or some crap like that. But my phone had another text app pre installed, so I switched to it instead of the google thing it has a blue icon. Not exactly the same as the original red icon app but works pretty close to the same.

I had Verizon for 15 years. I got tired of paying a $120.00 payment every month. Switched to T Mobile great service and the only place I haven't had service was 2 placed in the mountains of Montana. It costs me $43.33 per month.

All the cell phone providers suck, at least here.
Verizon dropped the lease on a tower close by, service got bad, switched to google fi, bad service, switched to my wifes Tmobile plan, still bad.

I live in a black hole for cell service, supposed to be all 5g, but if I move 18 " it'll drop to whatever it used to be, can't talk at home unless I sit next to the wifi... go a mile in any direction and it's good....very frustrating.

Sorry , it's not about a text app but I feel better now, lol

Same text app I always had on my IPhone with Verizon. Nothing changed here , and my phone recently updated !

More expensive carrier than the others. But I could just as well have 2 tin cans and a tight string then have AT&T or T Mobile.

Switched to Google Text. Its the blue one. Really pretty easy. A few minor differences.

Went with Google text or whatever it suggested to switch to. I didn't like it at first, there's some differences and I'm not a fan of change, but now I don't even notice.

As I understand it, it wasn't so much an update as the old app was being shut down. It didn't play well with going between android and apple systems. New ones are supposed to be better

And jump ship from Verizon the first chance you get. Lots of cheaper options out there that work just as good. The wife uses Tracphone and my daughter uses Spectrum Mobile. Both of those actually work better than my Verizon when we get into the rural areas

Ya Verizon is the only thing that works here. But it got way too expensive. Then I found out straight talk from Wal-Mart uses the same towers for way cheaper.

I started using textra. Not quite as good as the red one, but better than more Google tracking.

At&t works for me. I run two Sim cards, one from the local cellular company and one from at&t for data nationally.
