Trump & Elons possible plan

James Fishback, the CEO of investment firm Azoria, has proposed the idea of a DOGE Dividend. Fishback, reportedly an outside adviser to DOGE, posted on social media that the proposal would guarantee a $5,000 (Rs 4,34,730) refund to every American taxpayer household, funded by savings from the Department of Government Efficiency. Elon Musk has responded to it.

I agree. Let's make paying off our debt a priority.

I have nothing clever to put here.

… to spend on leverguns (that it keeps it from being straight shot political)

Insert profound nonsense here

I might see a small percentage of savings, say 10%, be returned to TAXPAYERS. Then people would have an incentive to look for more waste and do more serious program cutting. I fear that the money would also be given to nontaxpayers which is a nonstarter for me. Best to put it towards the debt.

This is a good idea, but I would raise the amount to 50%, to get people on board the idea that cutting government spending makes a big difference to their bottom line.

Trump is talking right now, said possible 20% to taxpayers from Doge savings...rest for deficit....if that happens it may silence a lot of the whiners...

dumping money into the hands of citizens just creates more inflation. if they are going to give out 5000 dollar checks they should only go to people who paid in 5000 or more.

My question is what’s coming, they’re pushing this then there’s something else in the works.

Exactly, better put your cash into assets so you can retain the value.

Use the money saved to go toward the national debt and to replace the funds that were stolen from Social Security because that is an unpaid debt too.
