That plan reminds me of women that go to walmart and buy something thats on sale. Tell everyone how much money they saved even though they never would have bought that thing in their lifetime. Reminds me of a friend's wife does exactly the same thing when you confront her about it her reply look how much money i saved.

I feel that can be considered the case if money is "saved" on an item that is required and you did something to acquire it cheaper. Example, food, clothes and tools for work. Nothing is saved on luxury items.

I would take a little check as long as I know that it’s coming directly from Seized assets of those that received the ill gotten booty that would work
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

I first thought, A trillion? Never happen!
Now I wouldn't bet against it. Saving tax payers a trillion would include all the cuts Trump has and is doing.
Just yesterday he stopped all fed money to illegals that amounted to 66.3 billion last year.
If Presidents had the power to do this, how come nobody else has done it? This is like a line item veto. These things are probably going to be temporary, not permanent.

I didn’t read all the previous this may have been said. Keep it and reduce the debt. Give tax breaks instead. I’d also like to see ranch and farm land taxes go down along with subsidies for the same. Less subsidies, plus change the tax system so ranchers/farmers aren’t forced to spend what profits they make or lose it to government taxes. Government has become a giant casino, in the end they and all the people on the inside are the ones who win.

dumping money into the hands of citizens just creates more inflation. if they are going to give out 5000 dollar checks they should only go to people who paid in 5000 or more. This. No one should get a check for 5k when they paid nothing in

If Presidents had the power to do this, how come nobody else has done it? This is like a line item veto. These things are probably going to be temporary, not permanent. Well, in the specific example above, 66.3 billion to illegals last year, there is only one president that could have stopped that.

A 5K check would be nice but it would make inflation stay higher longer. Pay off the Chicoms and be done with them. Then move all essential manufacturing back here.
It is scary how much China hates us and yet we do business with them. They are as dishonest as the day is long.

I don't even know if the 63.3 billion is real, but I believe Trump is planning to spend more than that on Deportations. Not seeing the savings?

Cost savings of deportation is significant considering the burden of entitlements given freely to illegal aliens by the previous administration.
Trump still has a lot to live up to in comparison to the deportations of the person who occupied the presidents office prior to Trumps first term.

How many times does it need to be said? The American people have overwhelming mandated for changes. Trump was elected based on his platform of doing so. He needs to be givin lead way to make this whole thing work.. If is team of super high IQ people have determined that "We the people" deserve a $5000 pay back. Then by all means sign me up. My biggest concern is that I be paid in real dollars maybe even silver coins. I don't want bitcoin or tokens for goods at the c company store. Don't want a gift card for nights stay at Maralogo. Not even a years free subscription to starlink. Show me money.. I will will decide how I want to spend it. Maybe blow the whole wad on eggs.

How does this work when the budget gets kicked down the road by CR? (Continuing resolutions) I don't know how it works, so don't get that idea, lol. I just know all federal govt agencies, including the military won't have money unless a budget or CR is passed, correct? They'll either be closed or work without pay. If so, how can the money be earmarked by Biden last year?
