I like a holster on my belt. Out of the way till you need it then real handy.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

a sling on the AR pistols
a belt holster for the Ruger Revolvers 7 1/2 inch barrels
your TC is sort of in the middle , probably a chest rig or bandolier type would be best for that with optic
I have actually been thinking of making a bandolier type for the RedHawk wear it under my jacket so I have my big iron if I want it but it is out of the way and it rides a little higher than my belt with the weight off my pants.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Bandolier type where strap is across chest, gun is under opposite arm, and bottom of holster body is button strapped to my belt. Takes a little adjusting but it works great.
And if you forget the holster, just put it in your pack.
How many lies will people believe before they realize their own idiocy?

4” K-frames go in a holster on the belt. 6” N-frames go in a tanker rig or chest holster.
I have a Smith 629 tgat is scoped but haven’t found a good way to carry it yet.
