I read lots of posts from former Mountain Man states that now have heavily restricted or banned trapping. From the posts it seems that old hippies from California migrate to the states and bring there beliefs with them. Using votes and high priced law firms to impose those beliefs on the people of those states.
Now do you guys think this trend will continue into new Canadian states? Will this end trapping in said new states.
? What about native hunting rights wil they be dissolved? I'm very interested in. The opinions on this issue.

Don't worry, I think most of the Californians are moving to the south. Generally speaking we are more free in the south than east and west coast states and those Californians can't allow that to happen. So breathe easy, they have to destroy what freedoms remain down here in Dixie before they set their sights on Canada.

But, I agree on the migrants from California. They screwed up NM and are starting to infect OK.

Its the big time cities in those states that get trapping outlawed.

I don't think Ide worry about it to much. Americans would ruin the Hunting in Canada, everything would be a draw tag by year two and by year 5 you'd need 10 preference points to hunt anything.

The process by which Canadian provinces would become U.S states is the same process that U.S states would follow to secede. This is just something to keep the news busy.

We don't want Canada as a state. That's 2 liberal senators and about 45 liberal house members.

Trump usually gets what he wants. He wants Canada's resources. But that's not the point of this post. I'm concerned that the old hippies from the big cities in California are going to quickly influence policy. We clearly see that on YouTube now where trapping videos and routinely demonetized.
It's very worrisome that our hunting and trapping rights will be extremely restricted.

I don't want to jump the gun. It'll be a few years to clear statehood. Then a few more for legislative change. Then another few for the old hippies to run there cases through the court system. My then I'll be easy to catch so the hippie songs will be really short.
But I think my point has been confirmed that statehood will be bad for trappers, maybe. Or maybe no one will want to live in 24 hours darkness so they will leave us alone. But Alberta going to have it bad.

As of a few days ago, Danielle Smith, the premiere of Alberta has met with President Donald Trump 10 times recently. Alberta has tried to secede from Canada since the 1950's. The residents of Alberta poll the highest in all of Canada for wanting to leave Canada and also for wanting to join the US. They are working on something together. Maybe it's a more favorable trade agreement with just Alberta, or maybe it's about Alberta joining the US. We should know fairly soon.

I don't think many liberals from the US would move to Canada taking their anti fur and and anti hunting ideology with them. It's to cold further up in Canada for the weak and the work is to hard for the lazy.

A lot of people talk like Canadians would be lesser if they joined the US. The truth is they would be just as important as the rest of the people in the United States. We will be stronger together than divided.

You've a good start with lower B.C. All it has to do is grow big enough to out vote the rest of the Province and you might as well live in WA. NWT though, I bet you have a while before it is a problem. Price of furs is what is killing trapping IMO.
