I had the same one and got 360,000 on it.

The trans went on it so I junked it.

Best truck I ever had.

Now I have a 2021 Nissan Frontier.

I bought it from Enterprise car sales for $19,900 with 52,000 miles on it.

I've had this truck for almost a year and love it.

I bought it from Enterprise Car Sales.

Great outfit to buy from.

They deal more than I thought they would have since they kind of took over for Toyota in popularity now. I’d say you're looking at 4-5 K off of sticker is possible depending on the trade in game.

Seen a new 2024 listed that the dealer knocked 5K off of on their site. If you finance they take off 1K but you can pay it off in a short time no penalty.

The 2025 has improvements over the 2024 steering is one of them a complaint in past years.

I've read several places that Nissan cars and suvs have went down hill in reliability. I take it their trucks are different then with all the positive comments on here. Do the trucks have the goofy CVT transmissions in them as that seems to be one of the big complaints.

Why the switch from Tacoma? Not saying I disagree, just curious. Seems used is all over the place for price around here. Most are really reasonable for today’s prices on pickups. Id be all in if it wasnt for two car seats in the back. I really liked the one I drove for work. Other than being able to haul kids, I need to pull a 17 ft jon boat is all.

Titan trucks have a regular trans. Older ones 7 speed, new ones 9 speed. I don't know about Frontiers. Maybe some owners can comment, but I bet regular trannies.

Yes they have the 9 speed trans not the problematic one in them great reviews all around on YouTube overall on them.

I went to Sioux Falls yesterday to get a trade in value on my Tacoma I had to chuckle the only vehicle dead on the side of the road was a older Frontier I hope it’s not a warning. LOL

Jerry has owned 6 or 7frontier. Right now he has a '23 and an '07.

The 23 is the new body style and it has a much higher clearance than the 21 he had. He usually trades them innkow at 100,000 pays the cash difference and has a new truck.

He paid 35,000.00 out the door for his..tax, tags, title..the whole shebang..out the door.

He used to sell his older truck to mY son. That was before he'd trade them in..he'd sell them to Bubby at about 250,000 miles. The.first one of wrecked. The one he has now has 400000 miles on and it still has never had any motor or transmission issues.

He's had cv joints go out and he had a wheel bearing go out and a fuel pump once but that's it.

The one bubby has is a 2011.

His has a 6 ft bed.

This is him when he brought the new one home.

Hr doesn't like white but he got the stripped down version( it has powered windows, Bluetooth and Sirius xm which he doesn't want or need)
He's very happy with rhem..alot happier than he ia with my 2019 chevy hut I don't want a midsized truck.

IF IDIOTS GREW ON TREES THIS PLACE WOULD BE AN ORCHARD !

I'll just add my perspective for what its worth. There's a 3rd Gen Tacoma sitting in the garage and I've had one of each of the prior generations. Overall the model is pretty decent for what it is designed for with some years being better or worse than others. But having said that I also think the 3rd Gen was sorta a step backwards as Toyota eased up on their quality/reliability focus as they became embedded in the US auto market

2023 was the last year for the 3rd generation truck and the 4th Gen tacomas have been given fairly significant "upgrades" that are basically unproven within the model at this point in time including a new frame sitting on coilsprings, a turbo engine and a lifted body with lower cabin floor which gives more interior room at the expense of some running height. The new 2024/2025 trucks come with a healthy price tag which likely isnt helping sales. And many people remember that the first year or two 3rd generation vehicles had significant quality issues so there seems to also be some hesitancy to purchase the new model. Then add that the 2024 models have already had some bigger issues such as transmission failures and it makes the 4th generation slightly suspect. I get a call from the stealership every other month asking about trading in my truck as there is significant demand for the 3rd gen trucks which is driving the price of those thru the roof. I'd personally never trade my 3rd gen for a current year 4th gen. Maybe a few years down the road assuming they end up proving some level of reliabilty. If I was looking for something in that sized vehicle currently it would be a hard decision.

Hope you did well on your trade value - I would think you did okay. I was happy with what I got for mine. Tacomas hold value pretty well.

Love the Tacoma I have now but it’s got 91,000 on it and it’s a TDR off road with the major traction options that I bought it for. The closet dealer is 90 miles away the next is 120 miles away that’s concerning to me. Trade in value drops dramatically if you go over 100,000 just the way people think. Nothing major wrong with the truck just a few minor things windshield cracked 3rd one needed on it, gas door hinge broke and a tire sensor was out that’s it. The $21,000 trade in value was attractive towards a new truck under warranty.

The new Tacomas don’t appeal to me that turbo 4 cyl is the only engine option they offer is not for me I’m sticking with the natural aspirated V6 that’s a proven performer. My Tacoma was loaded with bling I had to buy to get the crawl control system it even had 110plug in the truck bed. The new Tacomas are thousands more and offer a lot less at the same time. Toyota has lost their top rating and the quality in their truck lines with poor decisions and builds.
