this coon keeps working the back of my cage trap but wont go in the front, how do i get him to work the front and go in it?

Put plywood on all sides of the trap except for the entrance or top. That has prooved effective for me

duke HD large with the tighter mesh pattern in the back, the cage is set by a deck out in the open and a cat worked the back too never going in it. should i cover up the cage so there is only one entrance?

Try some tinfoil and vanilla extract at the back of the trap.

Try putting bits of bait just outside the door of the trap, and a little more just inside; make a little trail going to a pile of bait in the back of the trap. This usually works for me

The coon might be too tall for that cage.

Add a Dogproof trap outside the cage

If you got any big trash cans, shove the trap in that and set it. Some raccoons just wont go in cages, usually ones that have been caught before.
