Honey buns are too good to use as coon bait lol i dont use honey buns unless i can get em free but i love to use mini donuts that are suspended from the top of the trap.

I would make a trail of mini marshmallows from out side the door in the cage behind the trigger. Make sure some are under the trigger. Block the back off and stake the trap down so it will not move. Cover the wire on the floor with dirt or grass, then put in the marsh mellows.

hes a litte coon, got him on camera, i need to learn how to catch them in cage traps so i refuse to use dp Then you must not want to catch him too bad. He was interested in the dog food and mallows, why waste a honey bun

Man you all are sure trying to confuse TrapperE. I have NEVER covered a cage, or blocked off the sides, or covered the bottom cage wire to catch coons. You can catch any some coon around by setting the cage where it sets firm and make a trail of marshmallows into the cage and put a pile in the back UNDER the trigger. It's a stupid raccoon not like he's trying to catch a coyote in the cage. fixed it for ya.

I had it right. Thanks though BBB. He's a kid and trying to learn. Sure is. Seen too many coon that wont go in the trap to ever definitively say that youll catch all coon in a cage. Nuisance trapper pages on facebook are littered with videos of coons refusing to go in cages. Nuisance trapping doesnt have the luxury of just trying to catch random raccoons. we gotta catch em all or the specific trouble maker.
