Awesome, and yes I really like the bi plane. Back in the seventies we made all our Christmas gifts out of wood. We made toys and games. It was very gratifying and everyone just loved them

OK who here used to make those planes out of balsa wood, the wooden sheet had the design imprinted on it and you cut them out with the exacto knife. then you coated with some kind of thin paper. They were kits and some of the planes were 30 inches across. I made several but they were expensive as I remember......jk

I used power tools for the bi-plane and first jet. For the F-16 I am using power tools as well as carving. I designed the first two myself, but for the F-16 I am using a drawing of it as a guideline.

The chess board has since been ran thru a wood planer to give it a smooth finish as well as a coat of lacquer.
