Could you show a pic of the stabilizer you’re talking about?

In my experience the KB's aren't stable enough on their own without help. Got rid of mine long time ago and don't miss 'em.

Rocky bottom stands are where it’s at for fast 330 stability imo. Great catches!!! Was frozen solid last week now blown out flooded this week but next week is looking promising starting Monday so I’ll hopefully be going after a couple more beaver. I’ll be using a stand or two only aloud two 330s in my area.

This is the rocky bottom stand I made up after The hammer's design ^

They work great for these types of creeks. Like I said just reach down on the bottom and move some rocks to create a flat spot. I also usually stack a couple rocks on my spring eyes if possible to really lock the trap in. You can kinda see that on the left spring in this picture

I went with using two KB's per 330, helped lock the trap in better but added time to set, really like that setup coondagger has.

Coondagger, I noticed that all your coins look like new. No dye, paint or rust. Do you treat them at all so they don't rust? In my water around here it doesn't take long for bare metal to oxidize

Most of them are new. I purchased the Duke Supermag 330's when they came out this season and most of the catch pictures I posted are with those traps. They will get paint dipped this offseason

Last trap of the season. Otter floatin’! Everything is pulled. Time to start working on permissions for next season.

Before I got KB's I only ever used sticks and rocks to support my 330's, so to me they seemed like an improvement, especially when coupled with some sticks/rocks for extra stability. But I also don't have a lot of places I set on bottom like that, I usually have the trap on a pole pushed under ice, so it's hanging in the run sideways about an inch off bottom

Great weekend but blow out tides and pushing through nothing but mud. Waist deep mud at that. Added 20 rats first thing in the mornings before weight lifting the rest. I’m tuckered out and about to tap out on the big rodents.

Your new moniker hereby is "waist-deep-Mud" trapper. Real nice looking color on those beavers. How are the bites and rubs doing?

So far I’ve caught exactly one beaver with a badly rubbed belly. This area I’m in this year has been phenomenal. I’m watching and expecting some bad ones but it just hasn’t happened yet. Male rats are starting to cut but the beaver have been really good. I’ll be curious to see their grading.
My fox were very good this year too. Strange year lol. I actually caught what I think is possibly my nicest red ever even considering pa, nj and Vermont. I didn’t expect that.

My beaver and some rats usually go to FHA. This year will likely be the same minus some black rats I usually sell privately
