It would be really cool to see the FTA put together a book of his columns as a fundraiser. I have no idea if that's even possible, but I'd sure buy one!

RIP Ron. I too looked forward to his articles each month from the old woodsman. He lived a rich life and shared many of those experiences with many of us who followed his writings.

He lived a life and in an era of living as much off the land as could be done in his days. Yet another great part of our history and traditions has passed on.

Not if the feller openly shared everything he knows to perfect strangers as I am pretty sure this man did.

RIP.

My doctor suggested I start doing squats, so I moved all the beer to the bottom shelf of my fridge.

He seems to have been a man with great knowledge and life experience and shared it openly.
There is a quickly vanishing era as so many have already passed & many more of the the great ones approach the end of the line. No matter how long the line, the journey is short.

Sad to hear, Ron was a wealth of knowledge…and shared it willingly! RIP
